Pro tip: Don't buy a bike 170 miles from home unless you want to be tired.

It’s a motorcycle, you should expect to be two tired.

That bike can cover that distance in an hour. Why are you tired?

170 miles sounds like a pleasant orientation ride to me

Unless it’s a Sargent seat, I need to get off at about 50 miles to stretch out a bit. Then I need to rest my butt progressively more often, like every 30 miles and so on.
However, a 50 mile canyon road loop like near my house, it’s easier on my 45 year old body because I need to occasionally hang my cheeks on either side from time to time in a corner, which gives them a break.
But on the freeway (I’m assuming), 170 miles would be torture. Especially on a sportbike, and especially since I’ll be worried about the center wear of my tire the whole time.

Broken in and just broken. I’m not familiar with modern day ducs . What is that gorgeous mass of metal and plastic?

When I was single and lived in the Burlington area, I used to wake up saturday morning, have some coffee, ride to the M aine coast, have a lobster roll for lunch, and then ride ride home.

Love that color combo. Stealthy but still classy.

Good news: You are seriously pushing me in the direction of losing some weight and getting the Interceptor back on the road. (I’d look more at home on a Road King right now, not a vintage VF500F. )
Bad news: The second I start riding again, I’ll do something irresponsible and buy a Duc . And a Thruxton.
(Can an 86 Honda be considered vintage?)

Your fleet is becoming dangerously Italian ;)
Congrats on the new bike! The weather is nice, roads are empty, and I new screaming Italian. Seems like a great recipe for a good time.

R ealistically I know I won't be buying a Super Sport, but I still want to know everything about it! It is exactly the kind of bike I like, and at some point I'll want a change from my FZ-1, and this is a nice thought for a next bike.
